As i write these words, I am hooked up to an I-V drip receiving the last of my chemo treatments! WHAT A DAY! The drugs that have been surging through my body for the last 2 1/2 years target only cancer cells and leave the healthy cells alone. This chemo is considered a major advancement in cancer treatment and it is why I ride.

But, we need new treatments, like mine, for all types of cancers. That is the mission of pedal the cause and that is why I support it so passionately.


On November 1, 2010 I was diagnosed with stage four non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

There were tumors throughout my body and in 40% of my bone marrow. But thanks to new-targeted therapy, I am in remission! Breakthroughs are occurring everyday. In fact, the treatment I received did not exist just a few years ago.

Please join me in finding new-targeted treatments for all cancers. I firmly believe money raised through Pedal the Cause will help turn that goal into reality.

What I like most is that 100% of all of the money raised stays in St. Louis AND ALL OF IT goes towards research! It will fund NEW life saving projects at the Siteman Cancer Center and St. Louis Children's Hospital to find more targeted drugs like the one that helped me.
